Clean work station

Wow this is very rare.  My work area is clean.

#workstation #workarea
It has been so busy this year.  After winter and holidays... I though crocheting was going to slow down.  But festivals were gearing in and I had to do the same.  Crochet halter tops are hot right now and so I am making tons of them and custom orders are keeping me busy.

Thank you etsy for allowing me to do what I love and I love doing it.

Crochet cover for Bicycle basket

I have a new bike and I love taking it for a stroll to the nearest store.  But I don't want to carry the items in a bookbag or my front basket.  So I added a folding rear basket.  Although it's utilitarian... I wanted to add my creative touch to it.

Red Heart Super Saver have this same color yarn (mint green color).  But for this project I use Simply Carrol bran.  It has a hint of shine to it that I like and it is a lot softer than the Red Heart version.  It matches my bike perfectly.

It only covers 3 sides of the basket.

Crochet and Netflix

Binge watching is in.  There's only one way to do that, and that is with Netflix and crochet.  I must have watched tons of documentary on Netflix.  I use to think that Netflix sucks because it doesn't have the new DVD releases available to stream.  But now I can't live without it.  I am always looking for the latest documentaries or tv shows.

Crochet boho boots

The Gypsie in me had to make one.  I love boho boots.  So I wanted to put a twist on mines.  I crochet a scarf for my boots and wrapped a buddist meditation necklace.  I added layer of burnt orange, chocolate brown and teal color yarn.  I love the look and will be making more.

Folding Tablet crochet cover

Yes, I know, I'm going crochet cover crazy.  But I just had to do this one.

I was trying to get inspired for my mother's day gift to make for my dearest mother.
I started working on these flower center granny square.

I used 3 shades of pink and gold in the center.  But I ran out of that particular white yarn.

So I started over and made 9 squares with green center and put together a cover for my folding table.

I love the outcome.  and I was so pleased with it that I rode my bicycle to Dollar Tree to get some flowers for the glass vase.  (will post more photo tomorrow).  I just had to share this with you guys.  Now I know exactly how to make my mother's afghan.  Instead of pink, I will use 3 shades of blue for the flowers.

Crochet Stool Cover

I am inspired by Pinterest.  I can literally just spend hours browsing pinterest site over crochet items.  One inspiration that got me hooking is a crochet cover for stool.

This is a black metal stool.  The original cover is a black pleather (plastic not leather)
Now, it gets more attention after I crochet a cover for it using some left over yarn.

Over or cross the shoulder cell phone cozy

This is probably one of my most use crochet item.  Other than my dish and face scrubbies.  My over the shoulder strap cell phone cozy.  I use it when I don't need a purse.  I just need to carry my cell phone and maybe a credit card with it.

Hard at work

Here I am hard at work.  Finishing some orders for crochet halter tops.  This is one of my best seller this year.  Funny it rarely sold last year.  I had another best seller last year.

I will be making some more as soon as my wrist allows me to.  It hurts.

Wooden Beads

They can be expensive.  I ordered mine from ebay.  They are from China or somewhere in that region.  Very inexpensive.  They are not exactly the right size I wanted.  I use them to adorn some of my crochet halter tops and crochet bags.

After watching so many documentaries on plastic, I am trying to switch whatever I can.  And that is why I'm using these bamboo beads.

Crochet Jar Cover - Tea Light candle holder

I buy these fruit cups from Walmart for $1.00 each.  They come in these cute little glass jar.  I just can't throw them away after just one use.  I think it's criminal.  They are called Polar Mixed Fruit.  So after the snack.  I give a good wash and cleaning and re-purpose them as tea light candle holder.

with a simple easy to make crochet cover, they bring the perfect mood into any room or outdoor space.  I just love 'em!
