How to execute a "Front Post Stitch".  In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to execute a Front Post with Triple crochet stitch.  It creates a raised texture in your crochet pattern.

Here'a sample of a completed work done using the "Front Post" crochet stitch.  This is a crochet case for my Nook tablet.

What you will need
tape measure, 4ply yarn, 1 or two buttons, blunt needle, crochet hook, and scissor

Begin pattern with a slip knot

chain 12, for the foundation

double crochet in the 3rd stitch from hook

continue to dc in each stitch till end of row 1

row 2, chain 2, dc in the next stitch and the following till end of row,
while working in the back stitch

(inserting my hook in the back stitch)

at the end of row, dc in between the post

completed row 2
repeat row two, 12 more times, till you end up with 14 rows of dc

for the loop
chain 1, and single crochet in the next four stitch

chain 10
and continue to sc in the next stitch, till end of row.

this should end your pattern, unless you want a thicker loop, add another row of sc by:
chain 1, turn your pattern and sc in each stitch till end of row.

your pattern should look like the image above.

measuring my work

add your button with a blunt needle
