I Wasn't Sure If It Was Leather but What Happened Next Made It a Favorite Spot

I found this chair at a thrift store and honestly, I couldn’t tell if it was real leather or not. But I liked the look of it—especially the deep green color and figured it would be easy to clean. The surface doesn’t seem like anything could really soak into it, which is a huge plus for me because I like things that are easy to wipe down and keep tidy.

But as much as I loved the structure of the chair, it felt a little cold and plain. So I decided to dress it up and give it some warmth with a handmade touch. I crocheted a little crop-top style cover for the top using a mix of V-stitch and shell stitch. It added just the right amount of softness and a boho vibe that I love.

Then I took it a step further and made a matching cylindrical toss pillow. The whole thing came together so nicely, I feel like it completely transformed the look of the chair.

Now, this thrifted find has become one of my favorite cozy corners. It’s amazing what a little yarn and creativity can do, right?

What do you think? Would you have done something like this too?
