Crocheting on Halloween

Halloween and crochet, a spooky pair

With yarn and hook, we dare to scare

From jack-o-lanterns to witches' brooms

We create decorations, that fill the room with gloom

The night is dark, the moon is full

With each stitch made, our spirits pull

The yarn is dark, like the shadows that creep

As we make something eerie, for all to keep

With every loop and knot, we put our fear

Into every decoration, that will bring cheer

The colors are dark, the patterns eerie

As we make something spooky, that will make eyes teary

Halloween and crochet, a scary thing

Together, our love for the eerie will always ring

So let us gather, hook and yarn in hand

And make something spooky, that will forever stand

How inventory became a breeze in my crochet shop

I really struggled with inventory until I came up with this method of having an inventory sheet

with photos of each of my crochet items. I usually keep all of my finished and completed crochet good in a clear plastic bins. Each bins are labeled by number. It's easy to see which items I need to make and packing for orders is more flawless.

The inventory sheet also prevents me from making too many variants of each product. and it means less supplies to stock pile.

Prepping for the season and Holiday orders

designed a new thank you card today for my shop and I also created a postcard flyer to leave in places I frequent such as my local coffee shop and smoothie places, bookshop etc.. Anywhere I can drop a card. Online advertisement is a must, but I do like to leave my postcards wherever I can.

then I copy the same image and changed the wording to marketing my mug cozies that I love making.
