Photoshoot Day

 Spent majority of my Sunday taking photos of crochet products.  Mainly mug cozies and cup cozies.  Although I can take photos inside my crochet room (studio), I just think natural light outdoors makes better images.  

I just use my iPhone to take these shots.  

and somehow my iPad Pro was giving me a hard time, so I had to wait when we got home to edit and upload new listings.

It's the busiest season for crocheters.  Either we are crocheting for the holiday gifts or crocheting for our  busiest holiday season of the year.  But I wanted to take my time today to share this graphic with you guys.  It's both in PNG and JPEG files and I think it makes the perfect sticker.

Scraps Into Squares: The Joy of Crocheting a Colorful Afghan

 

Every chance I get even if it’s just for a few minutes I reach for my crochet hook and a ball of yarn. Lately, my hands have been busy creating granny squares, each one four bright, cozy rounds. It’s a simple ritual that’s become so relaxing, and honestly, a bit addictive.

I’m on a mission to make enough of these lovely little squares to finally crochet a full afghan. What I love most is the randomness of it all. I’ve been using up all my scrap yarn and some new skeins too all kinds of colors and textures, with no particular color scheme. The result? A joyful mix of shades and patterns that just seem to fit together in the most unexpected way.

I’m using acrylic yarn because it’s soft, durable, and perfect for a blanket that’ll see everyday use. Every time I add a new square to the pile, I get more excited to see this project grow.

And the best part? I don’t even know how big this afghan will be yet. Maybe it’ll be a cozy throw for the couch, or maybe I’ll just keep going until it’s big enough to cover my whole bed! That’s part of the fun seeing where this creative process takes me, one colorful granny square at a time.

No matter what size it ends up, I know one thing for sure: it’s going to be full of character, color, and countless quiet, joyful moments stitched right in.
