Review of the Rad Power RadWagon

If you’re looking for an e-bike that blends versatility, comfort, and power, the Rad Power RadWagon is definitely worth checking out. I initially thought I’d use it for long-distance rides, but to be honest, I haven’t yet. That said, it’s quickly become one of my favorite bikes for everyday use, and here’s why.

First, the RadWagon’s design is fantastic—it’s a cargo bike with a long tail, which gives you plenty of room for a passenger or additional cargo. The passenger seat is well thought out, including a place for your feet to rest, making it a comfortable and practical ride for two. Whether you’re carrying a friend, groceries, or gear, this bike feels solid and stable under load.

One of the standout features is how responsive the RadWagon feels. After trying other e-bike brands, I can really tell the difference. The bike’s handling is smooth and confident, even when it’s loaded up. Plus, the pedal assist system is excellent—it gives you that extra boost when pedaling, making hills and heavy loads feel much more manageable. But here’s the best part: the throttle function. You can ride this bike purely on electric power, like a scooter, without pedaling at all. It’s perfect for when you just want to cruise and let the motor do the work.

The RadWagon also comes loaded with great features. It has clear plastic skirt guards and full mud fenders, which are lifesavers for keeping both you and your passengers clean on wet or muddy rides. It even includes a front rack for added storage and a bell, which is a nice bonus.

Overall, the Rad Power RadWagon is a fantastic e-bike, especially if you need a cargo solution. It’s powerful, versatile, and thoughtfully designed for both riders and passengers. Whether you’re hauling loads or just enjoying the ride, the RadWagon delivers a smooth and enjoyable experience every time.

I worked real hard for this

I made Etsy's Bestseller.
I was browsing my Etsy shop this evening and clicked on one of my listing and there it is.  A Bestseller Badge!!!  If you have been following my posts, here on blogger and twitter I have been posting relentlessly about my mug cozies and cup cozies.  and just about daily, kept updating and Etsy listing.  I made sure I used all available slots for pictures and even added a video on one of the listing.  Kept up with my inventory and organized to keep a seamless shipping experience and processing.  It worked!!
I spent my whole entire weekend processing orders.  and I was so happy to dropped off all those packages at the post office today.

Let me know how you guys are doing on your crochet business.

November Etsy Sales

Figure 1 - My November 2024 Monthly Statement with Etsy

They say 4th quarter is the best time on Etsy...  Well, my sales are down this month.  I like to make over 200 sales per month.  and this month I made 171 sales.  If you take a look at my more detail stats below.  But I am still happy.  My Etsy shop is usually digital goods.  and I added my Crochet Mug Cozies and made a quite a few sales.  Although my listings are fairly new.  I just listed them a couple of weeks.

Figure 2 - More detail information on my November 2024 Etsy Month

I wanted to take advantage of this year Gifting season, so I listed about 8-10 handmade goods, which are my crochet mug cozies.  I hear a lot about Etsy sellers not doing good in the platform.  But this proves that you can still make money selling crochet items on Etsy.  You just have to know how.

If you're interested on how I made listings, leave me a comment below.

Figure 3 - screenshot of my sold items, first page.

As you can see I sell digital goods along with my handmade crochet mug cozies.

Let me know in the comment below your best selling handmade item(s) this season.

Photoshoot Day

Spent majority of my Sunday taking photos of crochet products.  Mainly mug cozies and cup cozies.  Although I can take photos inside my crochet room (studio), I just think natural light outdoors makes better images.

I just use my iPhone to take these shots.
and somehow my iPad Pro was giving me a hard time, so I had to wait when we got home to edit and upload new listings.

Mug cozies and cup cozies are still my Holiday Season's best seller.  What's yours?

Crochet Postcard Holder

In my previous post, I made a business cards holder.  I figured, why not also make a postcard holder.

I crocheted this using a teal yarn. And added the yarn I used from the business cards holder to finish this one, to have a matching pair.  And I’m glad I did.  It turned out perfect.

And instead of a drawstring enclosure I used a loop and button enclosure instead.

I think both of these project makes an easy and fast item to crochet to add to your market or online shoop.
the only thing I would add is probably add a liner for the inside of each pouch.

Crochet Business Cards Holder

I grabbed some business cards and toss them in my purse.  But each time I go inside my purse my cards are everywhere.  I could have some easily organized them with a rubber band but the crocheter in me thought of having a business card pouch.

Used a simple single crochet stitch working in round to make this cute business cards drawstring back

I’m happy with it.  It holds enough cards that I can have handy just in case.
I tend to leave them in coffee shop or wherever any opportunity rise.

Crocheting at Barnes and Nobles

I love to crochet.  But crocheting in the house can get unflavored sometimes.  Besides it’s good to get out in the public space to rev up new energy.  My place to go is Barnes and Nobles in Macon Georgia.  And to support this place, I always order some hot Earl Grey and pair it with something sweet like a cheese cake or a brownie.  Today I’m opting for a hot cocoa.

What am I crocheting today?

Today I’m crocheting a glasses cover or case, that will hang around my neck like a necklace.  I’m using a 100% cotton yarn so it wouldn’t irritate my skin.  I was able to get four of this made with skein of yarn.  And I managed to make a small sachet for some herbs.  A magical herbal sachet to carry with me.

With my left over yarn I made this small sachet bag for Rosemary Herb

Beat the summer heat with a portable fan

I sound like a commercial.  But seriously, I’ve had this for 3 summers now.  And This power bank is also old, soooo old.  But I use them all the time for all kinds of things I need portable power for.  But this summer I’ve been toting this power bank and usb powered portable fan.  And omg!  It’s a life saver.  I like working outdoor or in my schoolie / school bus.

I do a lot of blogging and Canva editing outside.  So I can get some fresh air and have my dog enjoy some outside time too.  This little fan has 3 modes and I keep in low and sometimes medium but my little power bank last all day, literally all day.

Portable Fan powered by a small power bank

Here is something else I added to “In Case of Emergency”
Jackery Power Station and 100 Watt Solar Panel.
Solar Panels are getting cheaper,  I remember the days when 100 Watt Solar Panel was over $200 bucks and now you can buy one like this for $59 bucks with free delivery on Amazon.

Flexible 100 Watt Solar Panel.  I’m getting over 60watt charging my Jackery.  That is enough to charge portable power station for a few hours from 0 to 100%
I have two of these Jackery.  One to charge during the day and the other to use while the other charge.  And because I don’t have my solar panels on top of my bus, I can park my bus in the shades.  Who wants to park under the heat of the sun, unless it’s winter.  It’s about 93 degrees here in Macon and I am park in the shades.

Crochet Basket for Bicycles

Here are some very inexpensive plastic basket from Dollar Tree, two of them are just for $1 each.  Purchased them before their 25% price increased.  The other is also from Dollar Tree purchased after they added products over $1.  This basket is for $3, which I think its still very affordable.

$1 basket from Dollar Tree.  I made a crochet cover for it with some granny squares.
Attached it to my beach cruiser using zip ties.

Here’s a side view.  Hanging also on the handle bar is a water bottle holder

Here is the square basket from Dollar Tree also.  It about the same size as a milk crate.
I also made a crochet cover for it.  Each side was crochet in different titch and stitch together.

How I use my bicycle and yard sign for my small crochet business

How I use my bicycle and a small yard sign for my small crochet business.

As a small business owner, i know the importance of advertising.
Big budget marketing, I’m nowhere near.  I have to improvised and be creative with my marketing campaign. And as you can see I use a yardsign and my bicycle to attract local customers.
We have an annual Cherry Blossom Festival here in Macon and I bring this baby out and display it around downtown area where thousands of tourist flock our little town.  I simply secure it with a lock and crochet bomb it.    I get a lot of attention and people take lots of photos of my bicycle.

Let me know how you advertise your crochet shop.
