Things to crochet for fall

Here are a few ideas for things you could crochet for fall:

  1. Scarf - A warm and cozy scarf to wear as the weather gets cooler.

  2. Hat - A beanie or a slouchy hat to keep your head and ears warm

  3. Blanket - A big, warm blanket to snuggle under on chilly fall evenings.

  4. Shawl - A warm shawl to wear as a cover-up on cool fall days.

  5. Cowl - A cozy cowl to wear around your neck for extra warmth.

  6. Mittens - A pair of warm mittens to keep your hands warm during the fall.

  7. Pumpkin - Crochet a pumpkin to decorate your home for Halloween or Thanksgiving.

  8. Leaves - Crochet a set of leaves to create a garland or wreath for your home.

  9. Coasters - A set of coasters to protect your furniture from hot drinks.

  10. Hot pad - A crocheted hot pad to use in the kitchen or dining table.

These are just a few ideas, but there are many other items you can crochet for fall, depending on your preferences and skill level. Remember to choose warm colors and patterns that are suitable for the fall season.

Wood Background image

As a graphic artist, I find myself online sometimes looking for some wooden background images.  Here is my contribution.   I snapped these images yesterday while waiting for the vet.  Luckily they have this deck outside.

Vegan Restaurant in Savannah Georgia

My mate is on a vegan trip.  Found a vegan restaurant in Savannah and we had to give it a try.

Is called Fox and Fig on Habersham Street in the historic downtown Savannah Georgia
I wasn’t sure what to get so I opt for hot tea and a brownie.  It was so good I had to get a second cup.

The ambience of this cafe is gorgeous.  Just what you would expect in Savannah.

Me looking at their menu

Me trying to do some work on my vacation.
Did I mentioned how much I love the ambience of this vegan cafe?  Yep I did.

Here is what my mate had.  A vegan burger and mac and cheese.

Before we found Fox & Fig cafe,  we grabbed some vegetarian food at Whole Foods on Victory Drive.  It was $11 something per lb.  We got 2 lbs.  Vegetable is expensive.

There was another vegetarian cafe we visited in the historic downtown Savannah and its the Sentient Bean.  I just grabbed Earl Grey tea and another brownie here.  It was ok.
My mate opt for the Banana Nut bread with hot tea also. And I had a hot tea also with brownie.

There is an herb shop next door and we grabbed some slippery elm for Princess.  Do associate was very kind and knowledgeable

Cycling on Fort Pulaski National Monument

We visited on September 4th, 2023 and the weather was beautiful.  We arrived around 9:00 am and it was free to enter the park.  They allowed our ebikes to ride to Fort and it was beautiful.

It was so much fun!

Clear blue sky, perfect early morning weather.  This is September 4th 2023

That’s my Fiido D3 Pro ebike

We reached the Fort

that’s me

My better half

My Lectric XP 2.0

There’s a trail that we rode our ebikes on and it’s right next to the marsh land and it was amazing.  somehow I don’t have any photos.  But I think I was able to nab some video footage of us taking the trail.
It’s a must ride.

Labor Day weekend on Tybee Island Georgia

Sunday was packed on Tybee Island beach.  I don’t think I remember this beach this crowded.  One thing I like about this beach is the lack of people.  It’s peaceful and clean.  But today it was packed, as far as my eyes can see.  We parked our van in front of Main Street shops.  And rode our ebikes to 2nd Street on the beach.

Lectric XP 2.0 ebike and Fiido D3 Pro ebike
I made a crochet basket for Fiido ebike :)
I actually forgot to charge the Lectric ebike and luckily I brought along our Jackery and charged it while we were enjoying ourself at the beach.

Tybee Island Beach Labor Day weekend 2023

And oh my gosh the weather was perfect.  blue sky, not so hot day, very warm water.  I could spend my entire day on this beach today and swim all day.  But we got hungry and had to visit our favorite seafood restaurant, The Crab Shack.
Crab Shack on Tybee Island Georgia

And of course it would be a perfect day if I didn’t messed up our reservation.  Our reservation is not until tomorrow.  So we slept in our van at Walmart.

We slept at Walmart parking lot in Savannah Georgia with no problem and no nock.  There were actually plenty of other cars there.  And it seems as tho, people was still working a grave yard shift.  Because this Walmart closed at 11pm.

What is crochet season?

Crochet season is a term that is often used to describe the time of year when people are more likely to be engaged in crochet-related activities such as crafting, making gifts or home decorations, or just enjoying crocheting as a hobby. It can also refer to a specific time of the year or season when crochet patterns, yarns or crochet-related items are more popular or in-demand.

Some people may consider fall and winter as the "crochet season" due to the cooler weather and the approach of holidays like Christmas, when many people enjoy making handmade gifts. Others may consider summer as crochet season, as people may have more time for crafting and hobbies during their vacation.

It's worth noting that crochet can be enjoyed all year round, and the term "crochet season" is more of a colloquial expression and not a technical term that is officially recognized by any crochet organization or industry.
