I’m staying warm on New Years Eve

 

I buy my yarn during the summer because that's when they go on sale.  I got this chunky yarn and made a simple crochet scarf and matching beanie hat.  This is perfect to wear this New Year's eve.

Crochet sweater

 

Here's another version of my Vstitch crochet sweater.  It's the Miranda Sweater.  I couldn't decide what color to use for the arm so I used both colors.

Repurposed shoe rack to yarn stash organizer

I've had all sorts of yarn stash organizer.  I found myself going back to this one.  This is a shoe rack I purchased online for under $10 bucks.  My crochet room is a spare bedroom in our house and it's so spacious.  But this shoe rack/yarn organizer takes up small amount of real estate and packs plenty of room to display and organized my yarn stash.  Let me know how you organized your yarn stash in the comment below.

Crochet Poncho

 

I had tons of yarn this summer and I was tired of making granny square items and afghans.  So I looked up how to crochet a poncho and made one using a V Stitch pattern.  I made tons of them and hopefully will have them posted very soon.

This year crochet obsession

 

this by far my favorite crochet project this year.  

I was about to learn to knit because I see these beautiful hand knitted sweaters on Pinterest.  But I ran into a crochet sweater and quickly fell in love and mesmerized by the textured that only a crochet can give.  Instead of piecing together pieces of crochet, I decided to figure out how to crochet the simplest crochet yoke and make a textured crochet sweater.  After a couple of pattern, I think I finally figured it out.  If you are interested in this pattern, leave me a comment below.

I think I used Joann Fabrics worsted weight yarn for this chocolate brown crochet sweater.
I know I used about 4 skein of yarn.
One for the yoke, one each for the arms and one for the body.

I find myself collecting dolls with black or dark hair lately.  
I'm also a big fan of Disney Princesses, so when I have a chance to purchase, I'm super happy because I get to dressed them up with crochet. 

I'm almost 50 and I'm still playing with dolls. is that crazy.

My Crochet Gang

 

Due to Covid and this Pandemic, I haven't been very social.  Ok, maybe I'm an introvert and I'm just blaming the Pandemic for not being social.  That's probably why I love crocheting,  because being alone or being anti social allows you to be okay with that.  I hear and read articles where mental illness really took a toll out of people during the pandemic and couldn't stand being cooped up or quarantine.  

But I was really looking forward to being quarantined and cooped up with my yarn stash.  Sadly I didn't get quarantined or got cooped up because work didn't slow down for us at the printshop.  It actually accelerated.  I am thankful for the work because it allows me to make money to buy yarn.  LOL!  

Anyway my crochet gang began growing.  I had Yoda alone for a while until added more Yoda, and Disney Princess and Edna from the Incredibles.  

The rest of the toys will get shipped to my niece and nephew in Jacksonville, FL.

GoPro Cover Bag | DJI Osmo Action Crochet Bag

 

I was going to upgrade my GoPro 8 to 9 or 10.  But I decided to purchase the competition, the DJI Osmo Action camera, because of its dual screen.  GoPro 8 only have the back screen and you can’t see what you are filming.  Not that was issue before all previous version of GoPro.  It didn’t became an issue until the DJI Osmo camera.  Plus The Osmo is $100 or more cheaper.  So I purchased the DJI Osmo.  Then 2 months later somehow my screen cover lense cracked.  I figured ...with GoPro you can easily purchased a name brand or off brand replacement.  That’s when my nightmare began.  You can’t find it!  You cannot find a lense cover replacement if you scratch your DJI lense cover and there goes my investment.  Down the drain.  I should have spent that extra $100 for an upgraded GoPro instead.

So because of that experienced I decided to make crochet bag cover for my GoPro camera to give it some cushion and protection without adding additional weight to my purse.   I will be adding them to the shop very soon.  And because it fits the GoPro it will also fit your DJI Osmo Action camera.
